Registration Closed - New Faculty Orientation

Welcome to Texas State University!

We are excited to have you join us as a new faculty member and look forward to working with you throughout your career. With over 2,300 faculty members and more than 200 academic programs, Texas State is forging a bright future because of the dedication and accomplishments of its faculty.

Faculty Development provides opportunities to enhance your knowledge and proficiency in instructional practices, approaches to research, scholarship, and creative activities—skills that build successful academic careers.

New Faculty Orientation is one way we support your success here at Texas State. Our goal is to provide you all the tools and resources you need to be successful in your first semester and beyond. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for benefits during orientation.

New Faculty Orientation is held in two parts. The first part is provided as a Canvas course to be completed in advance. The second part will take place synchronously by Zoom or in person.

Registration and more information will be made available by mid-July.

*Attendance at New Faculty Orientation is required for all new faculty and those who were previously appointed as per course or were in a non-benefits eligible position.
